Game development, marketing and communication

Realized in collaboration with VIGAMUS Academy

Programme leader Prof. Marco Accordi Rickards

The Game development, marketing and communication learning pathway is the first and only course dedicated to videogames in Italy. Its aim is to provide heterogeneous skills, dealing with both the creative dimension (the video game development sector), and the economic dimension (publishing, marketing and communication).

The course provides a complete vision of the different functional dimensions typical of the videogame, exploring subjects ranging from the development of interactive works (game development & design, art direction, 3D and 2D graphics, sound design, etc.) to their communication and promotion (game marketing & game publishing, etc.). Furthermore, the learning pathway features specific sectors such as the frontier of esports or the distribution of gaming product (retail and digital).

The teaching staff is exclusively composed of professionals operating in the game industry. The students will be guided throughout their entire educational path and specialization and will acquire a training focused on the markets needs. The course of studies integrates frontal teaching with thematic workshops aimed at experiencing the realities of the world of development studies and major publishers, as well as the challenges of a constantly changing system. During the second semester of the second year students carry out a compulsory professional internship at an industry company to perfect the competencies acquired and acquire skills in the field.
