The aim of the Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education and Sports Sciences (L-22) is to train professional figures able to promote and develop mental and physical well-being through physical activity and sports, at different stages of life.

The programme allows students to acquire solid theoretical and practical skills in the fields of physical education, athletic training, health, and the management of sporting events and facilities. Thanks to its multidisciplinary approach, the course prepares students for careers that are in high demand in the sports, education, and healthcare sectors.

The course aims to provide competencies in the following fields:

  • Educational, didactic, and psychological: to understand the processes of learning and motor development at various ages;
  • Technical-sports: to plan, manage, and evaluate motor activity and sports training;
  • Biomedical and clinical: to acquire knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathologies related to human movement;
  • Organizational and legal: to operate in the management of sports facilities and events in compliance with current regulations.

MODALITY OF FRUITION

The course is based on innovative and flexible teaching methods, delivered via the SMART-LEARN platform, which combines theory and practice for a comprehensive learning experience.

  • In-person exams: all exams are held at the headquarters of Link Campus University in Rome;

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Main professional roles:

  • Physical Education Teacher: with continuation of studies in a master's degree or similar, 24/60 credits for teaching and qualifying competition;
  • Physical trainer and coach: in individual or team disciplines;
  • Sports manager and operator: in gyms, fitness centers, and sports facilities, with management and organizational skills;
  • Health and prevention promoter: for projects promoting active and healthy lifestyles;
  • Technical sports communicator: in specialized scientific communication and information;
  • Organizer of physical and recreational activities: in educational, tourism, social, and leisure contexts.

The course provides the ideal preparation for accessing master's degrees in the fields of motor skills, sports, education, or health, and for obtaining the professional qualifications required by current legislation.

The course supports students through 4 different types of tutoring:

  1. Orientation and transversal tutoring, carried out by Education Coordinators, aimed at supporting the students in the reception phase, introducing them into the university life, monitoring their learning pathway, motiving them throughout the course (with special reference to the planned results), supporting them in bureaucratic procedures, the latter in collaboration with the Student Administration Office;
     
  2. international tutoring, carried out by the International Office, which wil offer personalized assistance to both international students enrolled in the degree course and Erasmus students;
     
  3. didactic tutoring, provided by the didactic support staff (teaching assistants, doctoral students, holders of supplementary teaching contracts, etc.), who will support the students with supplementary teaching activities related to the specific subjects of the learning pathways;
     
  4. specialized tutoring, carried out by Education Coordination for inclusion, aimed at students with disabilities or specific learning disorders and special educational needs, aimed at reducing the obstacles that might prevent their full integration in the academic environment.
