Alice Traversa is a fixed-term researcher in Technical Sciences of Laboratory Medicine (MED/46) at the Department of Life Sciences, Health and Health Professions. She attained a degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, is licensed to practice as a Specialist Biologist and is a registered Biologist. She attained a PhD in Human Biology and Medical Genetics at Sapienza University of Rome and participated in research projects at the Department of Experimental Medicine (Sapienza University of Rome) and the C.S.S. Mendel Institute (Rome). She authored scientific articles mainly related to medical genetics, molecular diagnosis and pathogenetic mechanisms of genetic diseases. She currently conducts translational research and in the field of regenerative medicine in collaboration with the Laboratory of Cellular Biotechnology, Department of Experimental Medicine, Sapienza University of Rome.
