Antonio Coviello is Associate Professor of Anesthesia, Resuscitation, Intensive Care, and Pain Management at Link Campus University. Previously, he was a Type A University Researcher (RTDA) at the University of Naples Federico II, where he taught, practiced, and conducted research in the field of anesthesia and resuscitation, contributing to the training of students, residents, and healthcare professionals.

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the Second University of Naples and specialized with honors in Anesthesia, Resuscitation, Intensive Care, and Pain Management at the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli.” He gained extensive clinical experience at the Federico II University Hospital. He is also the coordinator of the Level II Master's Degree in “Anesthesia and Locoregional Analgesia - Perineural and Fascial Techniques and Procedures,” organized in collaboration with ESRA Italia and the University of Naples Federico II.

He authored several scientific publications on indexed international journals and member of the editorial board of BMC Anesthesiology, Frontiers in Anesthesiology, and Advances in Anesthesia and Pain Medicine.

He works as reviewer for several international journals, including the Journal of Clinical Medicine, Journal of Pain Research, Drug Design, Development and Therapy, Local and Regional Anesthesia, and Journal of Anesthesia, Analgesia and Critical Care.

Currently, he is a member of the Scientific Committee of ESRA Italy and served as ESRA Regional Delegate for Campania (2022–2024). He is the inventor of an industrial patent for an innovative medicalized epidural catheter and winner of several scientific awards from national scientific societies such as SIAARTI, AISD, and ESRA Italian Chapter.

His main areas of interest include ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia, pain therapy, perioperative management of frail patients, and analgesia-anesthesia in obstetric patients, as well as artificial intelligence in the fields of anesthesia and training.

 

OFFICE HOURS
The professor is available to receive the students at the end of the lessons. However, the students may also request an appointment by email.
