Carlo Cavaliere is Associate Professor of Otorhinolaryngology (MEDS/18) at Link Campus University in Rome. He previously served as Research Fellow at Sapienza University of Rome and as ENT Consultant at Policlinico Umberto I of Rome.

He obtained his MD degree with honors (2011), specialization in Otorhinolaryngology (2017), and PhD in Innovative Technologies in Diseases of the Skeleton, Skin and Oral-Cranio-Facial District (2021) from Sapienza University of Rome. His research focuses on precision medicine, chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps, the nasal microbiota, and the immunopathological mechanisms underlying chronic nasal diseases, with particular attention to the use of biologic therapies in upper airway inflammation.

Dr. Cavaliere has participated as Sub-Investigator or Principal Investigator in several national and international research projects and clinical trials, including multicenter Phase III and IV studies (e.g., ORCHID, AROMA, REALITI-N). He collaborates with the Upper Airways Laboratory at Ghent University (Belgium) and with international consortia such as EUFOREA and the CHRINOSOR registry.

He is author or co-author of over 90 peer-reviewed publications, many in high-impact journals such as Allergy, The Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, Clinical and Translational Allergy, and European Archives of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology. He serves on the Scientific Committee for Rhinology of the Italian Society of Otorhinolaryngology (SIOeChCF) and is a member of the Board of the Italian Academy of Rhinology (IAR). From 2021 to 2025, he was part of the National Committee of Young Otolaryngologists (GOS) of the Italian Society of Otorhinolaryngology (SIOeChCF), where he coordinated the Research Committee.

His research activity has been recognized through multiple grants, editorial roles, and a national patent in the field of rhinology and immuno-inflammation.
