Carmela Belardo is Associate Professor in Pharmacology at Link Campus University. In 2014 she attained a Master's Degree in Pharmacy; in 2017 she attained the title of Doctor Europaeus in Translational Medicine from the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli.
She has more than 10 years of experience in the field of preclinical research, developing a network of national and international collaborations. Her research activities are mainly related to key aspects of neuroscience, such as the treatment of chronic pain, cognitive-emotional disorders post traumatic brain injury, and disorders arising from post-traumatic stress disorder.
She took part in various national and international conferences as a speaker and participated in numerous research projects. Member of the Italian Society of Pharmacology (SIF).
A central area of her research is the impact of social isolation on general well-being, with the aim to understand and mitigate its health impacts.
