Caterina Licini is an associate professor at Link Campus University. She was a contract professor at the Polytechnic University of Marche, where she taught Histology in the Degree Courses in Dietetics, Nursing (Fermo campus) and Environmental and Workplace Prevention Techniques. After attaining a MAaster's degree with honors in Applied Biology and a PhD in Human Health, she developed a scientific career focused on histology and the biology of musculoskeletal tissues, collaborating with multidisciplinary research groups.
Her research activity focuses on tissue regeneration and tissue physiology and pathophysiology. She has participated in major projects, including the ERC project ‘BOOST’, and was a visiting researcher at Julius-Maximilians-Universität in Würzburg, thanks to an Erasmus+ grant.
She authored several publications in peer-reviewed journals and is an editor for international journals. She has been a speaker at national and international conferences.
