After completing classical studies, Claudio Frezza attained a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry in 2012 and a Master's Degree in Chemistry in 2014, at Università di Roma "La Sapienza". In 2018, he attained a PhD in Environmental and Evolutionary Biology - Botany Curriculum at the same university. In 2018 and 2022, he attained two Masters degrees, first in Natural Organic Substances and then in Forensic Analytical Methodologies. He co-authored more than 80 publications both as research papers and journal articles in several leading scientific journals, and his lines of research cover phytochemistry, phytotherapy, ethnobotany and chemophenetics. He is also a member of the Reviewers' Panel of several scientific journals in the field, a member of the Editorial Board of two related journals and Associate Editor of the journal Natural Product Research.
