Daniela Adamo is Associate Professor of Odontostomatological diseases at “Link Campus University”.
She graduated with honors in Dentistry and Prosthodontics in 1999 at the University of Naples “Federico II”. Since 2008, she has been a permanent Outpatient Specialist at the UOC of Oral Medicine of the DAI Head-Neck of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Naples “Federico II”, where she is in charge of the Integrated Outpatient Clinic for Chronic Oro-facial Pain.
She is a recognized expert in the diagnosis and treatment of potentially malignant disorders of the oral cavity, vesiculobullous disease, chronic orofacial pain, and drug-related osteonecrosis. A speaker at numerous national and international congresses, she is an active member of the Italian Association of Oral Pathology and Medicine (SIPMO) and the European Association of Oral Medicine (EAOM).
She coordinates innovative research activities in the field of oral-facial pain and oral medicine, collaborating with research institutions of national and international significance. She is Principal Investigator in several funded research projects, including studies on the use of digital technologies for health management and early diagnosis of oral diseases. Her main lines of research include chronic orofacial pain, neuroinflammation, and innovative applications of digital technologies in oral medicine.
Attualmente ricopre il ruolo di Associate Editor per Frontiers in Psychology, Frontiers in Human Neuroscience, International Journal of Molecular Sciences e Dental Cadmos. È inoltre revisore per riviste scientifiche di prestigio internazionale, tra cui Journal of Oral Pathology & Medicine, Journal of Oral Rehabilitation, Oral Diseases, Frontiers in Psychiatry, International Journal of Dermatology, JEADV, Headache e Journal of Orofacial Pain.
She currently holds the position of Associate Editor per Frontiers in Psychology, Frontiers in Human Neuroscience, International Journal of Molecular Sciences e Dental Cadmos. Furthermore, she is a reviewer for internationally prestigious scientific journals, including Journal of Oral Pathology & Medicine, Journal of Oral Rehabilitation, Oral Diseases, Frontiers in Psychiatry, International Journal of Dermatology, JEADV, Headache e Journal of Orofacial Pain.
She authored more than 80 publications in international indexed scientific journals, with an H-index of 20 (Scopus).
