Federico Solla is associate professor in orthopaedics (sector MED/33, diseases of the musculoskeletal system) at Link Campus University in Rome. He practises paediatric orthopaedics and scoliosis surgery at the "Lenval" paediatric hospital in Nice, France, as head physician from 2020 to 2023.
He graduated in medicine, with specialization in paediatric surgery and PhD in science and technology for innovation at the University of Cagliari, and specialisation in orthopaedics and advanced training in spinal surgery at the University “Claude Bernard” in Lyon (France).
He was researcher in paediatric orthopaedics and spinal surgery at the University of Lyon 1 (2009-2012), professor at the European Association of Neurosurgical Societies (2011-2015), and honorary lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine of Nice (2013-2025).
He is a member of the french Society of orthopaedic surgery (SoFCOT), the European Spine Society and the French Academy of Orthopaedics and Traumatology.(EuroSpine) Since 2021, he has directed the French Scoliosis Study Group (GES) under the patronage of the French Spine Surgery Society (SFCR).
His research activity is mainly related to spine alignment, adolescent scoliosis, paediatric elbow injuries, foot surgery, cerebral palsy, animal models, and surgical site infections.
He is a member of the editorial board of BMC Musculosk Disorders and reviewer for Spine LWW, Orthop Traum Surg Res, Global Spine J, Children (MDPI) and J Surg Res.
OFFICE HOURS
The professor is available to receive the students at the end of the lessons. However, the students may also request an appointment by email.
