Giacomo Parisi is a researcher in Biochemistry at Link Campus University, Rome. He attained a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry and a Master's Degree in Chemistry of Biological Systems at "La Sapienza" University in Rome. He then attained a PhD in Biochemistry at the same university, focusing on projects aimed at the structural and functional characterisation of P450 enzymes.
He gained international experience at Columbia University in New York City, where he carried out a postdoctoral fellowship focused on the structural characterisation of integral membrane proteins. There, he also collaborated with the New York Structural Biology Center (NYSBC) to investigate cryo-EM electron microscopy and molecular biology techniques.
Between 2019 and 2023, Giacomo worked at the Italian Institute of Technology, participating in the development of new nano-transport systems for small-molecules and RNA. He also held the position of Technologist at the University of Rome "La Sapienza", managing the area of electron microscopy.
Currently, he is involved in various research projects and participates in several international congresses as speaker and organise . He is fluent in English (C2 level) and has basic Spanish skills.
