Giorgia Cerqueni, fixed-term researcher, SSD BIO/17 (Histology) at Link Campus University. In 2015, she received her Master's Degree in Medical Biotechnology (LM-09) at the University of Bologna while. In 2021, she received her European PhD in Human Health from the Università Politecnica delle Marche (SSD BIO/17). During her PhD and Postdoctoral studies, she collaborated with various Italian and foreign research groups in national and European projects. In 2019, she collaborated with the bioengineering group at Newcastle University (UK) as a Visiting PhD Student. The research activity involves the field of regenerative medicine in two main aspects: in vitro evaluation of platforms obtained through bio-engineering technologies for the regeneration of tissues of the musculoskeletal system; and the development of in vitro models through tissue engineering approaches for disease modeling and the study of the main molecular pathways involved in pathological progression. She authored 26 publications in international journals (peer-reviewed with impact factor), with 459 citations and an H-index of 11. Participated as a speaker of communications and posters for national and international congresses. From 2018 to 2021, she served as teaching support for the recognition of histological preparations for the Bachelor of Medicine degree program, at the Polytechnic University of Marche.
