Giovanni Bellomo is Associate Professor of Clinical Biochemistry and Clinical Molecular Biology (SSD BIO/12) at Link Campus University in Rome. 

With a multidisciplinary background combining biophysics, data science and clinical neurochemistry, his research focuses on molecular diagnostics of neurodegenerative diseases, in particular, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's diseases, through the development and validation of innovative biomarkers for early diagnosis, staging and prognosis. He has held key roles in international projects, including the European projects MIRIADE (Multi-omics Interdisciplinary Research Integration to Address DEmentia diagnosis) and the bPRIDE (blood PRotein ldentification to Discriminate dEmentias) project. His research has received prestigious awards, including a grant from the Parkinson's Foundation (USA), for which he is also a reviewer for fellowship programs.

Author of numerous publications in high-impact journals and speaker at national and international conferences, Prof. Bellomo is also dedicated to training and coordinating young researchers, promoting a multidisciplinary approach to neurodegenerative disease research.
