
Dr. Giulia Radocchia is a fixed-term researcher in Microbiology and Clinical Microbiology (SSD MED/07) at Link University. In 2019, she earned her Master’s Degree in Genomic, Industrial, and Environmental Biotechnology from La Sapienza University of Rome. After graduating, she completed an internship at the Institut Pasteur in Paris, where she was able to deepen her knowledge of molecular methods and gain experience in an international research environment.
In 2023, she earned her Ph.D. in Infectious Diseases, Microbiology, and Public Health at La Sapienza University of Rome.
From 2023 to the present, she has worked at the Department of Public Health and Infectious Diseases at La Sapienza as a research fellow.
From 2023 to the present, she has served as a Subject Matter Expert and a member of the examination committees for the following programs: Master’s Degree in Pharmacy; Master’s Degree in Dentistry and Dental Prosthodontics; Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Laboratory Techniques; and Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine (HT).
Her research focuses primarily on the study of the human microbiota in relation to various diseases affecting both the gastrointestinal tract and other systems, the environmental microbiota, and host-pathogen interactions. She is also interested in researching alternative compounds to antibiotics, including substances of natural or synthetic origin, as well as metabolites derived from probiotic bacteria (postbiotics).

The professor is available to receive the students at the end of the lessons. However, the students may also request an appointment by email.
