Associate Professor of Sociology at LINK Campus University, she has gained academic experience teaching international relations, human rights, intelligence, and sociology at Italian universities, such as Niccolò Cusano University and the University of Perugia, as well as at international centers and universities. She attained an international doctorate in Social Sciences from Trinity College Dublin and the University of Genoa, as well as Master's Degrees in Law at La Sapienza University in Rome, Political Science – Politics and Economics of the Mediterranean Region at the University of Genoa, International Relations at Queen Mary University of London, and International Trade and Finance from the University of Wolverhampton. She is a lawyer qualified to practice before the High Courts and the International Criminal Court, she has practiced in Italy and other European jurisdictions. She is an Affiliated Faculty Member of the University of Galway and a member of international bodies such as the European Law Institute and the International Criminal Bar Association. She has held important institutional roles, including Secretary General of the Interministerial Committee for Human Rights and member of the Board of Directors of the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights, Member of the Council of the European Law Institute. She is an OSCE expert in the Moscow Mechanism, admitted to the Council of Europe's roster of experts, Children's Rights Division, and a consultant for national and international bodies. She is active in missions and projects in several countries in crisis areas, she coordinates the Universities Network for Children in Armed Conflict, the first international academic network dedicated to children's rights in armed conflict. Winner of research awards and grants, she is the author of publications in the sociological, legal, and political fields and participates in international research groups and scientific committees.
OFFICE HOURS
The professor is available to receive the students at the end of the lessons. However, the students may also request an appointment by email.
