Lorenzo Arcuri is Associate Professor of Odontostomatological diseases (MEDS-16/A) at the Department of Life Sciences, Health, and Health Professions at Link Campus University in Rome. Graduated with honors in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics at the University of Rome Tor Vergata with a degree on the accuracy and clinical performance of computer-guided implant surgery. Winner of Esamus+ Traineeship scholarship, attending 4 months at the Department of Oral Surgery, University of Vienna (Austria).
He attained with honors the European label PhD with a dissertation on the influence of scanbody material on digital impression accuracy at the University of Rome Tor Vergata with 3 months research internship at the Department of Oral Surgery, University of Vienna (Austria). Winner of a fellowship (8 months) on advanced medical devices for primary caries screening. Specialized with honors in Oral Surgery at Sapienza University of Rome. Researcher at La Sapienza University in Rome. Professor of Implantology within the framework of the Bachelors' Degree in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics at Our Lady of Good Counsel University (NSBC), Tirana, Albania.
Winner Best Poster Award of the ESB (European Society of Biomechanics). Winner Best Original Paper Award of the Japanese Prosthodontic Society (JPS) and winner of the Prof. Mario Martignoni Award of the Italian Academy of Prosthodontic Dentistry (AIOP). Winner of a position in the international Emerging Leader Program (ELP) of the Foundation for Oral Rehabilitation (FOR). Member of the European Association for Osseointegration (EAO) and the College of Teachers of Dental Disciplines (CDUO). Member of the Editorial Board of the journal “BMC Oral Health.” Author of more than 30 scientific articles in national and international journals and one international book chapter. Speaker at national and international conferences. His main research topics concern the application of digital technologies in oral surgery, implantology and prosthetics, such as computer guided implant surgery, intraoral scanners and stereophotogrammetry.
