From 1996 to the present day he has directed over eighty plays, including Perversioni sessuali a Chicago by David Mamet, Anatomia della morte di… (winner of the prize “7 spettacoli per un teatro italiano per il 2000” and represented at the Teatro Argentina in Rome), Niente e nessuno by Letizia Russo, Bash, La forma delle cose, Some Girl(s), Fat Pig by Neil LaBute, Closer and The Red Lion by Patrick Marber, Due vecchiette vanno al Nord by Pierre Notte,  Novantadue - Falcone e Borsellino vent’anni dopo by Claudio Fava, Liquido, which he authore along with Irene Alison, Regalo di Natale, based on the film by Pupi Avati and adapted for the theatre by Sergio Pierattini, Non chiamateli briganti by Paolo De Vita and Mimmo Mancini, which premiered at Teatro Al Madina a Beirut as part of the 2nd International European Theatre Festival, Peggy Pickit vede il volto di Dio by Roland Schimmelpfennig, Marber, La Madre by Florian Zeller, Travolti da un insolito destino nel azzurro mare d’agosto from the film by Lina Wertmuller, written in collaboration with Irene Alison.

As far as the film industry is concerned, he was assistant to Sergio Castellitto. After graduating in Filmmaking at the New York Film Academy in 1999, he directed the short films: Don’t you need. Somebody to love (special mention at the LAIFA 2001 in Los Angeles), Fuori dal giro, co-directed with Dario Iacobelli (winner at the Trevignano Festival 2001), La Tazza (Franco Santaniello award at the Napoli Film Festival 2006), Non è volare by Paolo De Vita, The Encounter, written with Philippe Goudard and Irene Alison, winner of awards in Madrid, Valencia, Buenos Aires and Fano, Il perdono of Dario Iacobelli, awarded at Cortinametraggio 2019 for the best leading actor (Lino Musella), and in the finalist at the Golden Globes 2019. From 2007 to 2015 he was author of the David di Donatello for RAI1.

Since 2009 he has worked at Link Campus University, where he has been an extraordinary professor since 2022. Since 2015 he has worked as professor at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome. Since 2020 he has taught at Suor Orsola Benincasa University in Naples in the Academic Master on Pedagogy and Teaching Theatre. In 2019 he taught at the Master of Specialization for actors of the Experimental Centre of Cinematography in Rome and the Barreira A+D Centre in Valencia. In 2019 he directed the UFO artistic residence curated by Marcela Serli with the collaboration of the Teatro La Contrada of Trieste and the Scuola si alta formazione SISSA. In October 2019 he directed a workshop at the Geymmazeh Theatre in Beirut. 

Among his publications is the essay A New Form of Beauty within the book Corpo Riflessione Immagine for Alpes Edizioni, the first Italian edition of texts by Neil LaBute, Trilogy of Beauty for Publishing & amp;Spettacolo e il testo Liquido written in collaboration with Irene Alison, published by Nardini publisher in the series Sottotesto, edited by Luca Cedrola. In 2023 he published the article I tre usi dell'attore for the magazine BT Biblioteca Teatrale, directed by Ferruccio Marotti. In 2024 the second volume of texts by Neil LaBute, published by Editoria&Spettacolo, will be published for Editoria&Spettacolo..
