Marcello Sallì is a Researcher in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine at Link Campus University. He graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Palermo, and is a specialist in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Roma Tor Vergata. He attained his PhD in Advanced Technology in Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. For two years he was research fellow at the University Hospital of Parma. He has worked as head physiatrist at AOU Policlinico Paolo Giaccone in Palermo and currently performs care activities as head physiatrist at Azienda Sanitaria Provinciale di Palermo.
He carried out teaching activities at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, at the University of Amman (Jordan), and at the University of Palermo within the framework of the higher education course in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. His research activity is focused on rehabilitative treatment in rheumatic diseases, treatment of paramorphisms and dysmorphisms of developmental age, pharmacological and rehabilitative treatments of osteoporosis, metabolic bone diseases and fragility fractures, rehabilitative treatment in post-neurosurgical disabilities, ultrasound-guided hip infiltrations and injections of therapeutic substances into different joint districts and ligaments, orthotics and aids, instrumental physical therapy and rehabilitative treatment in musculoskeletal disorders of sportsmen, rehabilitative management of chronic pain.
