Maria Teresa Antonia Morelli is Associate Professor of History of Political Institutions and History of Intelligence Institutions at Link Campus University. 

She attained a PhD in Political Thought and Communication in History, University of Teramo, where she continued her studies as Research Fellow.  

PhD in Languages and Literature and Cultures of the Modern and Conremporary Age at the University of Sassari.

Qualified as associate professor, Disciplinary Sector SPS/03 History of Political Institutions. She attained the National Scientific Habilitation in 2013, by unanimous judgment of the Commission.

She carried out educational activity in various Universities, such as for example La Sapienza, and Lumsa (Rome branch). Professor of the post-graduate course “Donne Politica e Istituzioni” curated by the University "La Sapienza" and the Presidence of the Council of Ministers - Equal Opportunities Department; member of the teaching staff of the Master "Parliament and Public Policies" at Luiss University; and of the Master in Journalism at the University of Teramo.

Expert in political thought and institutions of the XVIII and XIX century in Italy, with particular reference to female political representation.

Her research interests are related to defense and security institutions in Italy and Europe, Italian and American associationism, the process of European construction, and the political thought of Altiero Spinelli, Ursula Hirschmann, Louise Weiss, and Simone Veil. Furthermore, her research interests are related to the role of associationism, the cultural identity of the Arbëreshë in Italy, the protagonists of the European construction process, and the political and social role of the Theatre of the 19th century. She has received various awards and honors for her research activities.

Speaker at various national and international conferences; she took part in various research projects; she authored various monographic works, essays and articles public on scientific magazines. Among her works are the following: L’Unità d’Italia nel Teatro. Istituzioni politiche, identità nazionale e questione sociale (Bulzoni); Il Rotary International, l’Italia e il Distretto 2080. Una storia istituzionale (Giappichelli); Le donne della Costituente (Collana Fondazione della Camera dei Deputati, editore Laterza). Member of the editorial board of several scientific journals; member of research centers, Italian and foreign scientific associations; member of the board of directors of the Alizè Center for European and Transnational Historical Studies (Research Center at Link University) and of the scientific committee of CesUE (Center for Studies, Training, Communication and Design on the European Union and Global Governance), a spin-off of the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in Pisa. Member of the Società per gli studi di Storia delle Istituzioni and the International Commission for the History of Representative and Parliamentary Institutions.

Member of various italian and international scientific associations, speaker at various national and international conferences; she took part in various research projects; she authored various monographic works, essays and articles public on scientific magazines.
