Mariarosaria Boccellino is Associate Professor of Technical Sciences of Laboratory Medicine at “Link Campus University.” Graduated in Biological Sciences with honors, University of Naples “Federico II”. Licensed to practice as a Biologist and registered in the Register of the National Order of Biologists. PhD in Cellular Biochemistry, Seconda Università degli Studi di Napoli.
Specialization in Food Science with honors, Seconda Università degli Studi di Napoli. Qualified for the functions of Associate Professor in the Competition Sector 05/E1 (General Biochemistry).
National Scientific Qualification obtained in 2018. Qualified for the functions of Associate Professor in the Competition Sector 06/N1 (Sciences of Health Professions and Applied Medical Technologies). National Scientific Qualification attained in 2022. Qualified for the functions of Associate Professor in the Competition Sector 05/E3 (Clinical Biochemistry and Clinical Molecular Biology). National Scientific Qualification achieved in 2023. Qualified as Full Professor in the Competition Sector 06/N1 (Sciences of Health Professions and Applied Medical Technologies). National Scientific Habilitation achieved in 2023.

- for the 2nd level International Master "Molecular technologies in personalized therapeutic approaches of cancer: sequencing, aptamer and miRNA ", Università degli Studi di Bari “Aldo Moro”;

- for the School of Specialization in Food Science, Università degli Studi della Campania "L. Vanvitelli".

Her research activity involves various collaborations with national and international universities aimed at integrating molecular investigations of chronic and infectious diseases resulting in the development of innovative translational applications. She is an expert in the field of cellular biochemistry and molecular biology. Using advanced techniques such as proteomics and next-generation sequencing (NGS), she has identified specific proteins and miRNAs as potential diagnostic biomarkers for various diseases. Her research activity include:

- study of apoptosis and its molecular mechanisms;
- identification of new biomarkers for early detection of diseases;
- study of antioxidant, proliferative, antisenescent, and bioavailability effects of natural substances;
- regulatory mechanisms of cell motility.

She participated in various national and international conferences as lecturer, and she has taken part in various research projects. Member of the Italian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (SIB). Member of the Interuniversity Consortium National Institute for Biostructure and Biosystems (I.N.B.B.). Member of the Italian Association of Cell Culture (AICC). Co-owner of no. 4 patents. Editorial Board Member of international peer reviewed journals. She is the author of 97 publications in international journals and three monographs.
