Biostatistician and epidemiologist, she is tenure track researcher (RTT) in Medical Statistics (S.S.D. MEDS-24/A) at the Department of Life Sciences, Health and Health Professions at Link University since October 2025.
She graduated in Statistical Sciences and obtained her PhD in General Medical Sciences and Service Sciences at the University of Bologna. Her scientific activity is mainly related to the development and application of methods and models for the evaluation of healthcare, with particular attention to integrated care, the epidemiology of diabetes and respiratory diseases, pharmacoepidemiology, the analysis of Diagnostic-Therapeutic-Care Pathways (PDTA) and access to healthcare services among the migrant population, through the use of administrative data and other real-world sources.
She teaches medical statistics and has gained experience in bachelor's and master's degree courses in healthcare professions. Furthermore, she taught on the Advanced Training Course in Medical Statistics at the University of Bologna.
She participated in several Projects of National Interest (PRIN), including MIGrants' Health and healthcare access in ItalY (MIGHTY) and Real-world evaluation of cancer outcomes by integrating administrative and hospital-based health-related data (We-Care). She collaborates with the Ministry of Health within the New Guarantee System for monitoring PDTA (Diagnosis-Treatment Pathways) and is an external expert in biostatistics at the San Marino Bioethics Committee.
She authored several publications in international scientific journals (h-index 11, over 300 citations) and received several scientific awards, including the “Best Scientific Contribution” award from the Italian Society of Medical Statistics and Clinical Epidemiology (SISMEC, 2025) and the “Best Poster Pitch & Board” award from the European Diabetes Epidemiology Group (EDEG, 2024). She also contributed to the organization of courses, webinars and national and international conferences.
