Researcher
Link Campus University - Rome
Nunzio Del Gaudio is currently a Tenure Track Researcher in General Pathology at Link Campus University.
After graduating with honours in Medical Biotechnology in 2013 at the University of Naples ""Federico II"", he continued his academic career with a PhD in Biochemistry and Biotechnological Sciences at the University of Naples "Luigi Vanvitelli"", studying the role of epigenetic factors involved in the onset and progression of acute myeloid leukaemia.
Afterwards, he extended his research experience at the Genomic Sciences Centre of the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT), located at the IFOM-IEO campus, deepening his understanding of the transcriptional and epitranscriptional dynamics involved in the regulation of gene expression. Subsequently, he became Fixed-term Researcher on (RTDA) at the University "Vanvitelli", where he continued to develop his research in the field of epigenetics and oncology.
During his career, he carried out research and training periods at prestigious international institutions, including Radboud University, University of Amsterdam and the Institute of Molecular Biology (IMB). Currently, his research activities mainly focus on epigenetics and epitranscriptional regulation in tumour contexts.
His main lines of research include: the identification of new drug targets for the development of innovative cancer therapies, molecular characterisation of epigenetic and epitranscriptomic alterations underlying neoplastic progression, and the identification of new molecules with potential antitumour activity.
He is a reviewer for several prestigious international scientific journals, including Nature Communications, Cell Report, Cell Death & Disease, Oncogene and Clinical Epigenetics. He is also the author of more than 30 publications in international indexed scientific journals.
