Sara Consalvi is associate professor at Link Campus University since june 2024. She attained a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2015 at the University of Rome “La Sapienza,” with a dissertation on the design and development of novel NO-releasing anti-inflammatory agents and a chemical probe for the epigenetic target BRD9. Part of the dissertation was carried out at the Department of Chemistry, University of Oxford, and was awarded by the Division of Pharmaceutical Chemistry of the Italian Chemical Society and Sapienza University Publishers.
In 2016, she attained a postdoctoral fellowship for research abroad. She then carried out research activity at the Pasteur Institute in Paris, where she was involved in the development of screening techniques aimed at identifying inhibitors of protein-noncoding RNA interactions and validating innovative targets in the treatment of inflammation. She then became a a research fellow at the University of Rome “La Sapienza,” where she worked on research projects concerning the development of small molecules with antitubercular (inhibitors of the membrane protein MmpL3 and tryptophan biosynthesis) and antiviral (Enterovirus CVA9 inhibitors) activity.
