Stefano Ruggeri is adjunct professor of performing arts disciplines within the framework of the DAMS course at Link Campus University. In 2012, he attained a PhD in Digital Techniques for Research on Performing Arts, in the field of theatre studies methodologies, with a final dissertation titled Teoria e pratica del montaggio teatrale nel XX secolo (Theory and practice of theatre editing in the 20th century), at the University of Rome "La Sapienza".
His research activity and publications are mainly related to theatre theory, with particular reference to the early 20th century European scene, and studies on the second theatrical avant-gardes of the 20th century.
From 2009 to 2016 he worked for multiple film production companies as script editor, production delegate and casting assistant for films and TV series. From 2018 to the present day, he has worked in film exhibition for the ACEC-SdC General Secretariat and in the promotion of film culture, collaborating with ANCCI and the trade magazine Filmcronache. He collaborates permanently with Federgat for the dissemination of social theatre with pedagogical purposes in complex social spaces.
Currently, he is a member of the technical commission for the allocation of grants for regional interventions and for the development of the Film and Audiovisual sector “Produzione cinematografica” for the Lazio Region: Direzione Regionale Cultura e Lazio Creativo, Area Arti Figurative, Cinema e Audiovisivo.
