Distance learning course

The Bachelor's Degree Course in Psychological Sciences and Techniques offers solid, interdisciplinary training in the main areas of psychology and related human and biological sciences.

The course allows students to acquire theoretical, methodological, and practical skills to analyze and intervene in individual and collective behaviors. At the end of the course, students will have the necessary  to continue with a master's degree in Psychology, which is essential for entering the profession of psychologist.

The course aims to:

  • Provide theoretical training in the main areas of psychology (general, developmental, clinical, social);
  • Integrate skills from related disciplines: neuroscience, philosophy, pedagogy, anthropology, sociology;
  • Develop methodological and research skills through specific teaching and seminar activities;
  • Promote operational skills for the practical application of psychological knowledge;
  • Strengthen data management and analysis capabilities using IT tools.

MODALITY OF FRUITION

The course is delivered through the SMART-LEARN learning platform, designed to ensure flexibility and effective learning.

Main features:

  • Asynchronous online learning: lessons and materials always available for independent study.
  • 20% synchronous learning: live lessons with teachers for active discussion.
  • 10 CFU of Practical Assessment Internship: field experience at affiliated institutions and organizations.
  • Dedicated tutor: weekly meetings for personalized support and clarification.
  • In-person exams: all final exams are held at the Rome campus.
  • Registration is always open: you can start the program at any time of the year.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Upon completion of the course, the candidates will be able to:

  • Access Section B of the Register of Psychologists, after completing a postgraduate internship and passing the State Examination;
  • Work as a Doctor of Psychological Techniques, carrying out activities under the supervision of a psychologist registered in Section A of the Register;
  • Work in public and private contexts: schools, companies, social and health services, cooperatives, third sector organizations, and HR departments.

Main professional activities:

  • Projects for the promotion of individual development and social integration;
  • Psychoeducational and health promotion interventions;
  • Support for people with disabilities, neuropsychological disorders, or addictions;
  • School and career guidance activities;
  • Collaboration in personnel selection activities;
  • Use of standardized tools for assessing behavior and cognitive processes;
  • Participation in the development and validation of psychodiagnostic tools.

To obtain full qualification to practice as a psychologist (section A of the Register), it is necessary to continue with a master's degree in Psychology (LM-51) and pass the relevant State Examination.

The course supports students through four types of tutoring:

  1. Orientation and transversal tutoring, carried out by Education Coordinators, aimed at supporting the students in the reception phase, introducing them into the university life, monitoring their learning pathway, motiving them throughout the course (with special reference to the planned results), supporting them in bureaucratic procedures, the latter in collaboration with the Student Administration Office;
     
  2. international tutoring, carried out by the International Office, which wil offer personalized assistance to both international students enrolled in the degree course and Erasmus students;
     
  3. didactic tutoring, provided by the didactic support staff (teaching assistants, doctoral students, holders of supplementary teaching contracts, etc.), who will support the students with supplementary teaching activities related to the specific subjects of the learning pathways;
     
  4. specialized tutoring, carried out by Education Coordination for inclusion, aimed at students with disabilities or specific learning disorders and special educational needs, aimed at reducing the obstacles that might prevent their full integration in the academic environment.
