Carlotta Lunghi is researcher at the Department of Life Sciences, Health and Health Professions, Link Campus University. She attained a Degree in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Techniques and a PhD in Chemical Sciences at the University of Florence; as well as a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences with specialization in Pharmacoepidemiology at Université Laval in Canada.
Her research interests include pharmacoepidemiology, appropriate drug use, and environmental sustainability in healthcare. She has authored more than 50 scientific publications in international peer-reviewed journals and has participated in numerous national and international conferences, presenting the results of her research. Her scientific activity covers topics such as therapeutic adherence, medication use in vulnerable populations, such as the elderly or people with mental health disorders, and the environmental impact of drugs.
She attained numerous research grants both as Principal Investigratore and as con-investigator, funded by international institutes such as Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), Fonds de Recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS), and other academic and research institutions. She collaborated and is currently collaborating with various national and international institutes. Furthermore, she served as professor of pharmacoepidemiology at the Université du Québec à Rimouski in Canada, and as researcher at the Department of Medical and Surgical Sciences (DIMEC) at the University of Bologna.
She is a member of the European Drug Utilisation Research Group (EuroDURG) and part of the ENABLE network (European Network to Advance Best practices and technoLogy on medication adherencE). In addition, she is a member of the Italian Society of Pharmacology (SIF) and the Italian Association of Epidemiology (AIE).
OFFICE HOURS
The professor is available to receive the students at the end of the lessons. However, the students may also request an appointment by email.
