Carmine Bruno is researcher in Endocrinology (MEDS-08/A) and medical director endocrinologist at Istituto Dermopatico dell'Immacolata IDI-IRCCS in Rome.
He graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery at Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, where he also specialized in Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases.
He specialised in Andrology and Reproductive Medicine by obtaining a II level master at the University of Padua.
Within the clinical field, he deals with endocrine diseases and metabolism, with a particular focus on endocrinopathies associated with cancer therapies and infertility.
Within the field of research he has published more than 50 publications in journals with impact factor and the main topics are the pathophysiological aspects of adult growth hormone deficiency and the impact of endocrine signalling on antioxidant systems. He is a member of the editorial board of the journal BMC Endocrine Disorders.
He is a member of the Association of Medical Endocrinologists (AME), the Italian Society of Andrology and Reproductive Medicine (SIAMS) and the Italian Society of Ultrasonography in Medicine and Biology (SIUMB).
He has been a freelance journalist since 2014.
