He acquired experience in quality system management in the role of quality control delegate on equipment according to ISO UNI EN 9001:2008 at the UOC of Cellular Diagnostics, Azienda Ospedaliera Sant'Andrea, Rome. He has obtained the national qualification to hold the position of Associate Professor professor for the competition areas 06/A2, 06/N. 

He obtained the national license to practice as a biologist. As a fixed-term researcher, he taught the General Pathology module in five different health professions and was a member of the Teaching Staff of the Research Doctorate in Experimental Medicine, at Sapienza University, Rome. 

He obtained funding and served as coordinator as head of Research Units under national funding (PRIN) following competitive calls. Furthermore he served as a reviewer for national research projects (PRIN) on behalf of the Ministry of University and Research and international high-impact "European Research Council (ERC) Synergy Grant" research projects on behalf of the European Research Council Executive Agency. He currently performs refereeing activities for six international journals. 

He coordinated and participated in several research projects at the Department of Clinical and Molecular Medicine, (Sapienza University of Rome) and authored scientific mainly related to the study of the role of tyrosine kinase receptors in the regulation of cellular processes, such as growth, differentiation, phagocytosis, autophagy and epithelial-mesenchyme transition (EMT). Other research activities have been directed to the study of: i) the role of mesothelium in the peritoneal dissemination of tumors; ii) molecular circadian rhythm; iv) Human Papillomavirus (HPV) oncoproteins; and v) the effects of microgravity on tissue reparative response. He is currently collaborating in the scientific activity of the Laboratory of Cellular Biotechnology, at the Department of Experimental Medicine, Sapienza University of Rome in translational research and regenerative medicine projects.
