Ferruccio Maria Sbarbaro is Associate Professor of Comparative Private Law (IUS/02) at Link Campus University, where he is also Director of CERSIG - Centro di Ricerca sulle Scienze Giuridiche (Centre for Research on Legal Sciences). Previously (from 2014 to 2020) he was a Researcher in Commercial Law at the same university.
In 2020, he attained the national scientific qualification for the position of university professor of the second rank in the scientific-disciplinary field 12/E2 (Comparative Law).
He graduated with honours in Law at Luiss Guido Carli University and obtained a PhD in Comparative and Civil Law at the University of Salerno, where he later attained a post-doctoral fellowship. He was a Visiting Research Fellow at the Fordham Law School in New York and at the Université de Nimes, and a Visiting Lecturer at the Ural State University in Ekaterinburg and at the Centro Universitario Villanueva - Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
A member of scientific committees for journals and scientific series, he is the author of monographic works, essays and articles in Italian and international journals and has participated as a speaker and/or organiser at numerous conferences and seminars in Italy and abroad.

By appointment of the Ministry of Economic Development, he acts as Liquidator for several companies. By appointment of the CONI, he carried out the functions of Commissioner ad acta for various Italian Sports Federations. He is a member of the Federal Court of Appeal of the Italian Tennis Federation and the Italian Basket Federation. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the National and International Arbitration Chamber at the Rome Bar Association.
