
Prof. Francesco Ricci, a specialist in dermatology and venereology, is a senior dermatologist with a high level of specialization in “Melanocytic tumors - Melanoma unit” at the IDI-IRCCS in Rome.
He is the regional representative for Lazio of ADOI (Italian Association of Hospital Dermatologists), and is a member of the Italian Melanoma Intergroup (IMI) and SIDeMaST (Italian Society of Medical, Surgical, Aesthetic Dermatology and Sexually Transmitted Diseases).
He specialized in Dermatology and Venereology at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart – Pol. A. Gemelli in Rome with top marks and obtained his PhD in “Oncological Sciences” at the same university. He has worked abroad, gaining particular expertise in the management of patients with advanced and metastatic skin cancer, skin cancer surgery using modified Mohs techniques, and the reconstruction of surgical defects using local flaps and skin grafts.
He has held the position of scientific collaborator at the Istituto Dermopatico dell'Immacolata (IDI-IRCCS) in Rome.
His current research focuses on the diagnosis and medical/surgical treatment of skin tumors, with a particular focus on melanoma, while also addressing other dermatological conditions.
He is the author of over 80 scientific publications and actively participates in conferences organized by leading Italian and international dermatological societies.

The professor is available to receive the students at the end of the lessons. However, the students may also request an appointment by email.
