Prof. Luca Fania, a specialist in Dermatology and Venereology, is medical director and head of the non-melanocytic skin cancer clinic at the IDI-IRCCS in Rome. He currently holds the position of Director of the Level II Academic Master in “Advanced Clinical Dermatology” (sponsored by the “Humanitas University Consortium”) and Board Member of the ADOI (Association of Italian Hospital Dermatologists) Board.
He specialized and attained a PhD in “Oncological sciences” at the "Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore”.
He has served as a research fellow at the Fondazione Policlinico A. Gemelli - UCSC in Rome.
Currently, his research activity is focused on diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers, also taking an interest in other dermatological conditions such as hydrosadenitis suppurativa, dermatological surgery, and different methods such as laser therapy.
He authored more than 100 scientific publications and actively participates in the congress activities of leading Italian and international dermatological societies.
