Marta Castrica is Associate Professor of Animal Food Inspection (MVET-02/B) at Link Campus University, Rome. She carries out research in the field of food safety and quality, microbiological risk assessment, supply chain traceability, and the sustainability of agri-food systems, with particular reference to foods of animal origin.She holds patents in the agri-food sector and authored several scientific publications in international journals. She participates in national and international research projects and European scientific networks. She is co-founder and CEO of the innovative start-up Feed from Food SRL Società Benefit, which is committed to the valorization of food surpluses and by-products.
La sua attività scientifica è stata riconosciuta con premi e riconoscimenti, tra cui il SISVET Young Researcher Award e il MIT Technology Review “Young Italian Innovator Under 35 Prize”.
Svolge inoltre attività editoriale e di revisione per riviste scientifiche internazionali. La sua attività integra ricerca, didattica e trasferimento tecnologico, contribuendo allo sviluppo di soluzioni innovative per la tutela della salute pubblica, della sicurezza alimentare e dell’ambiente.
Her scientific work has been recognized with awards and honors, including the SISVET Young Researcher Award and the MIT Technology Review “Young Italian Innovator Under 35 Prize.”
She also edits and reviews for international scientific journals. Her work integrates research, teaching, and technology transfer, contributing to the development of innovative solutions for the protection of public health, food safety, and the environment.
