Roberta Renati is Associate Professor of Developmental and Educational Psychology in the Department of Human Sciences at Link Campus University.
She graduated and received a Ph.D. in Psychology at the University of Pavia. She specialized in Systemic-Relational Psychotherapy (Milan Approach), and in dance therapy.
Over the years, she has gained solid experience in training, clinical and research, constantly collaborating with Italian and foreign institutions.
She is an adjunct professor at the Department of Education of the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences at Lucian Blaga University in Sibiu; she has been an adjunct professor at the TFA specialization course at the University of Ferrara, and for the Master's Degree in Psychology at the Department of Nervous System and Behavioral Sciences, University of Pavia.
From 2009 to 2014, she carried out research activities at the University of Pavia on projects related to the analysis of protective and risk factors aimed at promoting individual and school well-being, even in relation to students with high cognitive potential. In 2022/23 she collaborated on research activities at the Department of l University of Cagliari as part of a project on the relationship among well-being, creativity and digitization in an evolutionary perspective. In 2021/22, she conducted research at the Institute for Educational Technology of the CNR in Genoa, Italy, dealing with teachers' digital skills and digital game-based learning. She collaborates as a trainer with the Milton Erickson Institute of the Bay Area MHEIBA (CA) on the use of the systems approach in interventions with adolescents and families.
She participated in various funded research projects, including as coordinator. For the three-year period 2021-2024, she coordinated the consortium of the Erasmus+ project Games and Inclusion for Teacher EDucation - GIFTED (www.gifted-project.com), where open educational resources for teacher training in gifted education, and a digital serious game for identifying gifted students in the mathematical area have been implemented.
Between 2016 and 2017, she coordinated the territorial project Sostenere i talenti per prevenire il disagio scolastico e sociale, co-funded by the Cariplo Foundation and developed in the Metropolitan City of Milan, aimed at raising teachers' awareness of high potential and identifying students with high cognitive potential.
Currently, her research interests are focused in the area of assessment of individual, family, and school-based support of high-potential students and young adults, with particular attention to dual-exceptional profiles. Furthermore, she is interested in themes such as resilience, development of social-emotional skills and the informed use of digital technologies, as well as the use of new technologies, including serious games, as tools for clinical, educational and didactic intervention.
She authored various scientific articles and is a regular speaker at national and international conferences and symposia.
OFFICE HOURS
The professor is available to receive the students at the end of the lessons. However, the students may also request an appointment by email.
