Serena Giusti is Associate Professor of Political Science (SPS/04).
She is an Integrative Professor at the Department of International and European Relations (DiRIE) of the National School of Administration (SNA). She is an Affiliate Researcher at the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in Pisa where she is a Member of the Teachers' Board of the Doctoral Program in “Human Rights, Global Politics, and Sustainability: Legal and Philosophical Perspectives.” She is Senior Associate Research Fellow at the Institute of International Policy Studies in Milan in the Russia Caucasus and Central Asia Program. She has held research and teaching positions at Westminster University in London, Higher School of Economics in Moscow, Kazakh Humanitarian Law University, among others. She won 3 Jean Monnet grants from the European Commission. She worked for Unicef and the European Commission in Brussels and was an election observer for the OSCE.
She is among the founders and a member of the advisory board of Women International Security (WIIS) – Italia and was listed among the '100 experts' in the field of international politics.
She attained a PhD in Political and Social Sciences at the European University Institute in Fiesole and a Master in European Studies College of Europe-Bruges in the Warsaw branch; she graduated at “Cesare Alfieri” in Florence.
