Edoardo Milanetti is currently an Associate Professor of Physics (PHYS-06/A, Physics for Life Sciences, Environment and Cultural Heritage) at Link Campus University of Rome, and an affiliated researcher at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) in Rome, Italy. His research lies in the field of computational molecular biophysics, focusing on the development of new theoretical and computational approaches to address key open problems in structural and molecular biology.
His scientific interests include the prediction of biomolecular interactions, protein thermostability, molecular docking refinement, and the analysis of physicochemical properties underlying binding interface prediction.
He received his Master’s degree in Physics from Sapienza University of Rome in 2012, and subsequently earned a Ph.D. in Life Sciences from the same university, under the supervision of Prof. Anna Tramontano.
After several years as a research fellow, he joined the Department of Physics at Sapienza University of Rome as a researcher from 2020 to 2025. During this period, he was also an affiliated researcher at the Center for Life Nano & Neuro-Science (CLN2S) of the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, collaborating with multiple research groups primarily focused on neurodegenerative diseases.
Through his interdisciplinary work at the interface between physics, biology, and computation, he aims to advance our understanding of biomolecular systems and to contribute to the design of new predictive and therapeutic strategies.
