Quality Assurance Committee

The Quality Assurance Committee is appointed by the Board of Directors or by a delegate, and is comprised of a President and no less then two and no more than nine members.

The members of the Quality Assurance Committee stay in charge for 3 years.

The Quality Assurance Committee plays a decisive role in ensuring the quality of the Didactics and Research Departments, including the third mission of the University.

The Quality Assurance Committee carries out the following functions:

  • a) promotion of the culture of quality in the University;
  • b) establishment of the processes for the purpose of Quality Assurance;
  • c) supervision of the correct development of the procedures related to Quality Assurance;
  • d) proposal of Quality Assurance strategies and training activities for their implementation;
  • e) provision of support to the Courses of Study, the Supervisors, the Director of the Research Department for the common activities;
  • f) support for the continuous improvement of study courses and departments, with regard to teaching, research, Third Mission and internationalization.

Within the framework of the educational activities dedicated to the promotion of a widespread culture of quality within the University, the Quality Assurance Committee shall:

  • a) organize and verify the information contained in the Annual Form for each Degree Programme;
  • b)  supervise the regular development of the procedures related to Quality Assurance for the didactic activities;
  • c) organize and monitor the opinions of the professors, the students, the graduating students and the graduates;
  • d) organize and verify the review activities of each Course of Study;
  • e) ensure the correct flow of information to and from the Evaluation Board and the Joint Teacher-Student Committee;
  • f) organize and realize Internal Audits with all the Intermediate structures (CoS Coordinators, Heads of Departments; Head of Third Mission, and Postgraduate Education);
  • g) assesses the effectiveness of improvement measures and their actual consequences.

Within the framework of the institutional activities aimed at promoting continuous improvement the PQA shall:

  • a) organize and verify the information contained in the Annual Form (SUA-CdS) for each Department of the University;
  • b) organize and verify the implementation of the procedures of Quality Assurance for the research activity and the implementation of information for SUA-RD;
  • c) organize and varifiy the information flow to and for the Evaluation Board.

The Quality Assurance Committee shall provide the Rector and the Director General with the information related to the Review of the Quality Assurance System of the University./p>

With regards to the achievement of quality objectives, the PQA works in close collaboration with the University Evaluation Board (NdV), the Joint Teaching-Student Committees, the Departments, the heads of the intermediate coordinating structures for the Third Mission and with all the other bodies that contribute to ensuring the proper management of Quality Assurance and evaluation processes.
