Objectives of the Master
The course offers a comprehensive and rigorous treatment of the main topics related to hand surgery and rehabilitation, providing the specialist skills necessary to work in this field. The program combines theoretical activities with solid practical training, including internships at leading specialist facilities nationwide and learning how to make splints.
Target Students
- Graduated in Physiotherapy

- Third-year students of the aforementioned degrees who will graduate by the end of the Master.
Selection criteria: Applications will be accepted until the established number is reached. If the expected number is exceeded, the Coordinators and the members of the Teaching Staff will evaluate applications based on credits earned in the field and documented work experience.
Educational objectives
The learning pathway aims to provide advanced skills in the assessment, treatment, and management of hand and upper extremity disorders. Through a balanced mix of theory, practical activities, and internships, the Master helps you develop specialized skills that you can use right away in a clinical setting. The program promotes an interdisciplinary approach between hand surgeons and rehabilitation professionals, encouraging the creation and adoption of shared evidence-based protocols.
Particular attention is devoted to learning techniques for making customized braces and orthoses and applying the latest rehabilitation methods. Internships, carried out at leading centers nationwide, allow students to experience different clinical situations and consolidate the practical skills acquired during lectures.
The teaching staff, selected for their proven experience and recognized authority, guarantee a high-level scientific education. The Master fills an important gap in the educational offers of central and southern Italy, representing a unique course in terms of its level of specialization and comprehensiveness.
Upon completion of the course, the candidates will be able to work as professionals specializing in hand and upper extremity rehabilitation in public and private healthcare facilities, hand surgery centers, rehabilitation units, outpatient services, and private practices. The skills acquired also enable them to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, participate in the development of advanced rehabilitation protocols, create custom-made braces and orthoses, and provide specialist consulting services in clinical and rehabilitation settings.
