The Bachelor's Degree Course in DAMS - Audiovisual and theatrical production. Arts, music and entertainment disciplines is aimed at students who wish to acquire and practice high-quality skills in the field of audiovisual media and performing arts, and who choose to deepen their knowledge of the culture and practice of Italian cinema and theater in an international context.
The students may customize the curriculum according to their interests and career ambitions by choosing one of the two specializations Filmmaker and Theatre Maker.
Method of attendance
- Frontal lessons: frontal lessons in mini-classes of maximum 25 students, to be carried out at the Rome branch.
- Live streaming: the students may attend to the educational activities from their own devices, regardless of their location.
The recordings of all activities implemented through the live streaming method are also available at a later date, as a complement to the student's training.
EDUCATIONAL PATHWAYS
Filmmaker
The aim of this educational pathway is to train Filmmakers. A filmmaker is a professional figure able to carry out an audiovisual project, from the genesis to the realization of the finished product, dealing personally with all phases of process.
The course provides the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to carry out the work of Filmmaker, intended as a creative professional figure who combines humanistic knowledge with the skills acquired behind the camera and in the direction of actors, script writing, management of lighting systems, editing and post-production. A professional figure who masters digital technologies and the organizational and managerial aspects of the film, television and multimedia sectors.
Right from the first year, the educational pathway gives ample space to educational workshops, enabling the students to put into practice the technical-theoretical knowledge acquired.
This course of study is the result of the combined effort of an excellent teaching staff. This has been made possible by a permanent agreement established by the University with the cultural industries of the region, as well as by virtue of the involvement of different academic research centres.
Caereer opportunities
Upon completion of the educational pathway, the student will be able to actively contribute to the conception and realization of performing events in the theatrical field, as well as in the management of multimedia and audiovisual content for film, television, advertising, web and branded content.

Theatre maker
The aim of the Theatre maker pathway is to prepare the student for a career as a modern performer, able to create, organize and realize artistic projects related to live shows. A performer who is not a mere executor, but the creator - on his own or as part of a collaboration - of artistic projects and shows.
The combination of a thorough knowledge of the humanistic subjects and practical experience enables the student to interpret and actively participate in the entire cultural sector: in production, in performing events for the theater, in the broader field of cultural activities, in multimedia content management and in audiovisual content management for the theater industry.
This course of study is the result of the combined effort of an excellent teaching staff, comprised of professors, reasearchers and experts. This has been made possible by a permanent agreement established by the University with the cultural industries of the region, as well as by virtue of the involvement of different academic research centres, with the aim to support the students through workshops and internships. A large part of the teaching staff also collaborates as researchers and consultants to the thematic research centre on live performance Link Theatre, thus facilitating the process of integration of the students into the labour market.
