The single-cycle Degree course in Law provides the students with higher-level legal education, required to access the legal professions and/or senior management positions in public administrations and public and private companies and institutions.
The course of studies provides a well-structured learning pathway specially devised to educate professional figures capable of understanding and managing the opportunities offered by the labour market in a transnational and global context, both in the public sphere, at supranational and foreign institutions, bodies and organisations, and in the private sphere, international companies, bodies and organisations.
The learning pathway provides highly professional courses in various fields of knowledge, including seminars, workshops and internships, with the purpose of promoting a swift transition into the labour market.
Modality of attendance
The teaching activities are presential, but for eligible students it is also possible to participate in live streaming, interacting live with the classroom.
INTERNSHIPS
- Agreement with the Rome Bar Association for the advancement of one semester of legal practice
- Agreements for curricular and extracurricular internships with national companies and law firms
- Agreements with law firms for the conduct of legal practice
The aim of the course is to prepare the candidates for legal (advocacy and notarial services) and judiciary professions; as well as to train professional figures ready to work as corporate lawyers in the social, socio-economic and political fields, as well as in institutions, public administrations, domestic, foreign and multinational private companies, trade unions, information technology law, comparative law, supranational and foreign bodies and organizations, and international bodies.
LEARNING PATHWAY
Sports Law
The formative offer of the Master's Degree in Law, Sports Law learning pathway, is specifically aimed at the acquisition of legal knowledge applied in the field of sports.
In particular, by providing specialised training within the field of sports law, sports marketing, sports employment contracts and Olympic preparation and management of major events, the University accompanies students towards new and challenging career paths, such as joining the legal departments of sports clubs or sports justice bodies, taking on managerial roles and executive positions in national and international bodies and federations.
The learning pathway of the master's degree, is the result of the ongoing dialogue between traditional knowledge and new disciplines, expressed through innovative lectures, seminars, workshops, project works and simulations in close collaboration with experienced professionals.
The training pathway is also the result of a collaboration with IDEMS, the university's research centre, with the aim of training professionals and managers in the area of sports law and management.

The aim of the single-cycle Master's Degree in Law, Sports Law learning pathway, is to train professional figures in the field of sports for entrepreneurial, advisory, professional and managerial functions, both in the private sphere, where there is a need to analyse the legal aspects related to sport; and in the public sphere, where there is a need for graduates able to undertake central roles in sports institutions.
Upon completion of the learning pathway, the candidates will be able to find employment in the private sector, as notaries and lawyers carrying out consultancy and research roles in the forensic field and more specifically in federal or sports structures; as employees or consultants in companies maintaining close relations with the world of sport; in the field of sports economics; as sports attorneys and agents, in sports law.
The graduates will also be able to find employment in the public administrations as employees or managers in offices, including legislative offices, of public bodies for the development and care of sport, in the bodies of the "Ufficio per lo Sport" (Office for Sport) and in international relations with bodies and institutions that have competence in the field of sport, with particular regard to the European Union, the Council of Europe, UNESCO and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). They graduates may also cooperate with sports bodies and other actors in the field of sport.

The aim of the Global law learning pathway of the Master's degree course in Law, is to combine a solid preparation in traditional law with the study of subjects that are of fundamental importance for legal experts today: from financial markets regulation to comparative corporate law and comparative public law, without neglecting the law of new technologies.
The purpose of this course is to train highly specialised professionals able to interface with the legal challenges posed by border dissolution and globalisation. The acquisition of specific competencies in new areas of knowledge appears to be an unavoidable necessity, both for those who aspire to hold positions of responsibility within public administrations or private companies, and for aspiring legal professionals such as judges, lawyers or notaries.
Therefore, the Master's Degree Course in Law is a a secure perspective for the training of professionals capable of intercepting the opportunities offered by the contemporary labour market.
Career Opportunities
The graduates in Law with specialisation in Global law will be able to find employment as legal consultant, manager or public administration officer, in international working environments, in Italy or abroad.
In the private sector, the candidates may work both in "traditional" activities related to the legal professions (notary, lawyer), at complex and modern legal services, and medium/large companies featuring legal departments.
In the public sector, the candidates will be able to hold positions as a senior official or manager in various branches of the public administrations, especially where there is a great need for a continuous relationship with foreign or generally supranational contexts, such as for example European institutions.

The Science and Techniques of Intelligence and Security learning pathway, provided for in the single cycle master's degree in Law, aims to conjugate a solid preparation in the traditional legal sciences with the study of the issues related to investigations and scientific-technical evidence, as well as the knowledge of key non-legal subjects such as biochemistry, forensic medicine and dactyloscopy useful in investigative work, and in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity issues. Nowadays, the acquisition of specific competencies in the new areas of knowledge is an unavoidable necessity, both for those who aspire to hold positions of responsibility within public administrations or private businesses; and for aspiring judges, lawyers or notaries. Therefore, the course of study in Law is a safe environment where the students may develop a highly specialized knowledge and seize the opportunieties arising from the modern labour market.
Career opportunities
The graduates in Science and techniques of intelligence and security will operate with functions related to entrepreneurship, consultancy and management both in the private and public sector, where there is a need to analyse the legal aspects related to protection and safety.
In the private sector, the candidates may aspire to work as notaries or lawyers, carrying out consulting activity and research at forensic departments and criminal law research centres; as employees or consultants at companies making use of technologies or biotechnologies for the purpose of rights protection; within the framework of economic activities related to the production of knowledge and information; as well as for private companies of the third sector for the purpose of rights protection;
In the public administrations, the graduate students may find employment in the legislative offices of public institutions for the production of sector regulations, at courts and court registries; at structures of the Ministry of Justice, in military careers or enforcement agencies (for example, RIS and postal police), even as external consultants.

The aim of the Master's Degree in Law, State Science and Public Administrations learning pathway, is to provide the candidates with the most advanced forms of knowledge on the functioning of state institutions, combining a solid basic preparation with specialized training on accounting and public finance governance, civil service, public contracts, up to the frontier issues of digital administration. Upon completion of the learning pathway, the candidates will be able to participate in public competions thanks to the participation to specific laboratories; and to assume management functions or positions of high responsibility directed both at setting governance and change management strategies in complex public structures, and at producing regulatory, structural and functional innovation and thus contributing to the modernization of the State and Public Administrations.
Career opportunities
The Degree Course provides the candidates with knowledge and skills required in the social, economical and political fields; in public institutions, public administrations, national public undertakings, multinational corporations, trade unions, international bodies, requiring the jurist's skills of analysis, evaluation and decision-making.
In the private sector, notaries ad lawyers can find employment as legal experts in forensic structures or for private companies with a high degree of interaction with state institutions and public administrations.
Link graduates will also be able to find employment within the field of public administrations, especially in the areas of e-government or e-democracy development and in the areas of computerization of public services, in the legislative offices of public agencies, at courts and court clerkships, for structures related to the ministries, for police organs (even as external consultant)s, in various structures of the public administrations through the participation to public competitions.

The educational offer of the Master's Degree Course in Law, legal professions learning pathway, is structured according to an innovative approach, combining traditional, solid theoretical skills and knowledge with applications to concrete cases, under the guidance of leading experts in the fundamental subjects of law. The traditional legal education implemented, is immediately valorized and metabolized through the submission of specific practical activities, which will characterize the preparation of the student during the final two years. In-depth study in an applied perspective and experimentation with the foundational subjects of the degree path, including an innovative offering of curriculum customization, allow for immediate and successful insertion into the chosen professional field.
Career opportunities
Upon completion of the learning pathway, the graduate with a specialization in the legal professions will work as a professional in the legal disciplines as a lawyer, notary public or magistrate, as a corporate lawyer as an executive or official of companies or public administrations.
In the private sector, the graduates will find employment both in the "traditional" professional activities as notaries and lawyers, or within complex and modern structures for legal consultancy.
In the public sector, the students may fill the role of magistrate; high-level functionary or executive in the public administrations, especially where there is a pronounced need for expert and competent professionals.
